Frequently Asked Questions
You can reach out through our website, phone, or email, and we’ll connect you with a therapist who best fits your needs. Your therapist will then reach out to schedule a free 15-minute phone consultation and help arrange your first session, either in person or via telehealth.
We offer in-person and telehealth therapy for children, teens, adults, couples, and families. Our team includes therapists trained in EMDR and PCIT, along with a range of specialties to support different needs. With multiple clinicians on staff, we can help match you with a therapist who is the right fit for your goals and preferences.
For in person sessions, please plan to arrive about 15 minutes early and be sure to have your door code handy. This will give you time to find Sonoma County Counseling, settle into the waiting room, complete any remaining intake forms if needed, and get comfortable before your session. Water and restrooms are available on site for your convenience.
For telehealth sessions, please ensure you have a secure and stable internet connection, are in a private and comfortable space, and have your therapist’s Zoom link or meeting ID ready before your session begins.
Most importantly, this time is set aside just for you (and/or your family). Arriving prepared and giving yourself a few moments to settle in can help you feel more present, grounded, and ready for your session.
Therapy is a financial and time commitment to better yourself and overall well being. When considering cost, and important question to ask yourself is can you afford to wait to give yourself or your child the help that they need? We can help in a variety of ways.
We accept credit/debit cards and Health Savings Account cards, check, and cash.
We can provide you with a superbill for you to submit to your insurance to process an out of network mental health claim.
Fees for services vary, based on therapist, time slot, type of therapy, levels of expertise and experience, etc. Typical fees are $175 per therapeutic hour for individual therapy and $200 for couples and family therapy.
